One year ago, Sud-Ouest Aliment introduced a new delivery tracking system, an ambitious project gradually rolled out starting in April 2024. This development, which involved all Sud-Ouest Aliment platforms—Bazkaona, So Mash, and L’Isle Mash—aimed to modernize the group’s logistics organization. The main objective was to enhance the safety and efficiency of deliveries while meeting customers’ growing expectations for traceability and reliability.
A Major Logistics Transition
Thanks to the NFC technology enabled by the ALIA Tour application, drivers responsible for food deliveries now install an interactive “tag” at the client’s desired drop-off location, allowing precise site identification.
Whether it is a silo, trailer, warehouse, container, or any other location, scanning the tag via the ALIA Tour mobile app provides accurate confirmation of the delivery point before unloading, giving the driver confidence that they are in the right place.
This new system has significantly reduced the risk of delivery errors, optimized time management, enabled full traceability of completed operations, allowed real-time delivery tracking, and facilitated direct reporting in case of incidents.
Clients Informed in Real Time
Once the order is confirmed, SMS notifications are sent to the customer throughout the entire process up to delivery.
For bulk orders, clients receive detailed information on the delivery date and time as well as the products ordered and their destination. For bagged orders, clients are informed of the scheduled day and time slot.
A Positive Outcome for the Group and Its Brands
One year after its implementation, this system has proven to be an essential asset for the smooth functioning of Sud-Ouest Aliment’s logistics. It has not only optimized and strengthened traceability but also improved customer satisfaction. This project, the result of team involvement and adoption of new technologies, illustrates the group’s commitment to innovation and to providing high-quality services.
