From March 5 to 8, 2026, Sud-Ouest Aliment took part in the 49th edition of the Tarbes Regional Agricultural Show at the Parc des Expositions.
As we do every year, we shared a 68 m² stand with our colleagues from Productions Animales, Elevage Service, VEGA, and Agralia. This joint presence speaks to the natural synergy between our businesses and the strength of working together in service of the region’s farmers and livestock producers.
A collaborative stand at the center of it all
Over the course of four days, our stand became a real hub of conversation, drawing in industry professionals, breeders, partners, suppliers, and fellow players from across the agricultural world. This unmissable event on the farming calendar typically welcomes between 65,000 and 75,000 visitors, with a record-breaking 76,748 attendees in 2025.
This edition, however, told a different story for the cattle sector: no cows were present at the show, a precautionary measure in response to the risk of lumpy skin disease spreading through the South-West, which resulted in roughly a 20% drop in footfall.
Meaningful moments of connection
Several highlights stood out during our time at the show. Our sales technicians were on hand throughout the entire event, welcoming visitors and fielding questions with their usual enthusiasm. Our traditional Friday lunchtime drinks reception also brought together clients, partners, and colleagues in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. For the occasion, we put together a tasting selection featuring cooperative products: Fermiers du Sud-Ouest chicken fillets, Fiers de nos Terres pâtés and rillettes, and Delpeyrat dried duck breast.
A showcase for regional agriculture
Despite the exceptional absence of cattle, the Tarbes Show once again shone a light on the diversity and vitality of the region’s farming scene. Livestock competitions for sheep and goats, equestrian displays, culinary demonstrations, and a producers’ village kept the energy high across all four days.
The event continues to cement its role as a flagship for regional agriculture and a genuine meeting point between professionals, the general public, and institutional stakeholders.
True to our values
Our presence at the Tarbes Regional Agricultural Show is a natural extension of our ongoing commitment to the farming world. It’s a chance to connect with our partners, showcase what we do, and reaffirm how close we are to the farmers and livestock producers who make up the fabric of this region.
A heartfelt thank you to every team member who helped organize and run our stand, and to everyone who came by to share these moments with us.
