The Festival of Nature and Terroir,
For whom? Why?
The Festival of Nature and Terroir of Cap Nature is intended for everyone: green space professionals, animal enthusiasts, those curious about Landes traditions, or simply visitors seeking discovery. Each day offers a unique immersion in a world dedicated to the environment, living beings, and the know-how of our region.
We chose to organize this event in echo with the Week of the Festival of Nature, a national initiative that celebrates biodiversity and nature in all its forms.
At Cap Nature, we share these values and want to highlight local actors, skills, and the different facets of the natural world while creating a moment of exchange and conviviality.
On the program: demonstrations, activities, meetings with experts and professionals, as well as festive moments around our terroir.
Join us from May 22 to 24, to celebrate nature and our terroir values together!
Thursday, May 22
From 9:30 AM to 6 PM: Activities and presentations of all our professional ranges (soil, fertilizers, seeds, mulch, pruners, line markers, etc.)
All morning: Complimentary fork lunch
10:30 AM and 2:30 PM: Stump grinding demonstration by Univers Paysage
11 AM and 3 PM: Robotic bramble clearing by Garrido
Friday, May 23
From 9:30 AM to 6 PM:
- Stalls and activities around farm animals
- Exhibition and presentation of poultry yard.
- Presence of a breeder of ancient breeds (chickens, pigeons)
- Sale of chickens (by order) and laying hens
- Apiculture education, hive presentation, and sale of our honey
- Awareness and sale of pest control solutions: wasps, hornets, Asian hornets, caterpillars, mosquitoes, tiger mosquitoes, flies, bedbugs, rats, etc.
Saturday, May 24
8:30 AM to 12:30 PM:Outdoor activities and stalls
- Presentation of our Landes skills (Landes races and folk dances)
- Wood pigeon hunting, sale of honey and local products, Duban hattery, Antan poultry, hunting dogs
10:30 AM: Introduction to stilts with the Tchanques de Chalosse
11:30 AM: Introduction to Landes racing with Jérôme Costarramone (French Champion 2024) and Julien Guillé (Winner of the Dax 2024 contest)
From 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM: Photo session with our two champions and their trophies
12:30 PM: Closing of the nature festival around a friendship drink
